This extraordinary vase is made by Bohemian Art Glass Vsetin (B.A.G.) in the Czech Republic during the 1990s. It is an abstract female form with a cobalt blue circular base supporting a shaped clear glass stem with blue slip trailing and orange "arms". The round clear glass head has applied red "eyes" and supports a blue fluted top. The base has the Bohemian Art Glass label and although not signed bears a striking resemblance to the butterfly candlesticks designed by Jiri Suhajek for Moser. Jiri Suhajek was Art Director at B.A.G. for a time after it started production in 1992.
